FIFA Referees Alan Mario Sant and Fyodor Zammit were appointed by UEFA for two UEFA Under-17 Championship qualifying mini-tournaments in Slovenia and Romania.
Alan Mario Sant was appointed by UEFA to take charge of matches in Group 5, being played in Slovenia. The MFA Refereeing Department appointed FIFA Assistant Referee Duncan Sultana to participate in this mini-tournament played at NNC Brdo Stadium and Sportni Stadion Kranj, in Kranj. The participating teams with hosts Slovenia are France, Montenegro and Estonia
Alan Mario Sant controlled the match between Slovenia and Estonia on Thursday. On Saturday, Alan Mario Sant was fourth official in the match between Slovenia and Montenegro. His final appointment was for the match between France and Slovenia. Duncan Sultana was appointed as assistant referee in the three matches.
FIFA Referee Fyodor Zammit, who will be assisted by FIFA Assistant Referee Luke Portelli, has been appointed by UEFA to take charge of matches from Group 6 to be played in Romania between the 25th and 30th October. The participating teams with hosts Romania are England, Azerbaijan and Austria.
The first appointment for Fyodor Zammit and Luke Portelli is the England vs Azerbaijan on Tuesday 25th October. Their second match together as referee and assistant referee will be Romania vs England to be played on Thursday 27th October. On the final matchday, Sunday 30th March, Fyodor Zammit and Luke Portelli will be together again as fourth official and assistant referee during Azerbaijan vs Romania.
