Eight Premier League players suspended

nike-ordem-ta-qaliSeven Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches from the BOV Premier League while Bjorn Kristensen was banned for one match following the FA Trophy third round matches.

Srdjan Dimitrov (Birkirkara) was banned for two matches while Joseph Zerafa (Birkirkara), Maurizio Vella (Floriana), Jackson de Lima Siqueira (Hibs), Adrian Caruana (Mosta), Michael Johnson and Karlo Kesinovic (St. Andrews) and Daniel Zerafa (Tarxien) were suspended for one match.

Birkirkara will be therefore without Srdjan Dimitrov and Joseph Zerafa for the next match against Hamrun while Dimitrov is also ruled out of the clash with Sliema. Bjorn Kristensen, Jackson Lima and Adrian Caruana will miss the clash between Mosta and Hibernians while Johnson, Kesinovic and Zerafa are ruled out of Tarxien vs St. Andrews. Maurizio Vella missed the game against Balzan.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Rafael Junior de Fex Marriaga (Fgura), Ryan Mifsud (Marsa), Kurt Pace (Melita), Tensior Gusman (Qormi) and Miguel Ciantar (SIrens) were banned for one match. Marsa team manager Christopher Mangion was banned for four matches.

San Gwann’s Nezar Abouhaisa was suspended for two matches in Division 2 while Firas Aboulezz (Attard), Shamison Farrugia (Mellieha), James Borg (Mgarr), Kristian Galea (Qrendi) and Patrick Briscoe White (Swieqi) were handed a one-match ban.

John Louis Sammut (Marsaskala) was banned for four matches, Josef Felice for three while Christopher Zammit was handed a one-match ban.
