New Tarxien Rainbows coach Jesmond Zerafa will be making his debut as the Rainbows take on St. Andrews in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme on Saturday at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
Tarxien lost three out of the last five matches and are currently ninth, one point behind St. Andrews who lost just one of the last four matches and are coming from an impressive 3-0 FA Trophy win over Birkirkara. In their last league outing, S.t. Andrews lost 1-4 to Floriana and Tarxien lost 1-3 to Birkirkara.
The Rainbows welcome back Ebiabowei Baker and Emerson Marcelina but Daniel Zerafa is suspended. On the other hand, Michael Johnson and Karlo Kesinovic are ruled out through suspension but Dale Camilleri will be back after missing the last league game.
In the first round, St. Andrews beat Tarxien 1-0.
Meanwhile Valletta will be all out to return to winning ways as they take on Pembroke Athleta.
The Citizens dropped two important points in a goalless draw with Mosta and are currently third on 25 points, five points behind leaders Balzan. Pembroke, on the other hand, remain anchored at the bottom of the table with 7 points after losing five out of the last six matches.
Claudio Pani and Federico Falcone will be back after serving a one-match ban. Pembroke, on the other hand, welcome back Paltemio Barbetti and Zoran Levnaic.
Valletta defeated Pembroke 5-1 in the first round.
