UEFA Under-19 and Under-17 Championship 2017/18 qualifying round draws

The draws for the qualifying rounds of the UEFA 2017/18 Under-19 European Championship and the UEFA 2017/18 Under-17 European Championship were made in Nyon on Tuesday.

Malta was drawn in Group 4 along with Slovenia, Hungary and hosts Netherlands in the UEFA Under-19 EURO while in the UEFA Under-17 EURO, Malta was drawn in Group 1 along with Belgium, Switzerland and Northern Ireland. Malta will be hosting this mini-tournament.

In the UEFA 2017/18 Under-19 European Championship, the top two in each group will join Spain and Portugal in the elite round in spring 2018 with the seven group winners in the Elite Round joining Finland in July’s finals. The competition will also act as Europe’s qualifier for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The top two in each group of the 2017/18 UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying roun along with the four third-placed teams with the best record against the leading pair will join Germany and Portugal in the elite round in spring 2018.
