Slovak coach for Mosta FC

Mosta FC announced that they have appointed Zsolt Hornyák as their new coach. He replaces Ivan Zammit whose contract was terminated last month.

Hornyák served as coach with FC Mika and FC Banants in Armenia after a career as a player with Inter Bratislava and Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia, Dinamo Moscow in Russia, AE Paphos in Cyprus, FC Hlucin and FK Mesto Albrechtice in the Czech Republic and Spratzern in Austria. He also played for the Slovakia national team.

He was appointed as coach of FC Mika in March 2012 and led the club to second place in season 2012/13 apart from winning the Super Cup. Hornyák moved to FC Banants the following season, leading them to the first ever championship. In 2014/15, Zsolt Hornyák led Banants to victory in the Super Cup.

Mosta lie at the bottom of the table, along with Pembroke Athleta on 9 points. They lost ten out of the fifteen matches and will be in action next Wednesday against Birkirkara.
