Temile, Muir in swap deal between Birkirkara and Sliema Wanderers

Frank Temile joined Sliema Wanderers while Gary Muir moved to Birkirkara after the two clubs reached an agreement over a swap deal.

Nigerian-born twenty-six year old Frank Temile moved to Malta at an early age and made his Premier League debut with Valletta in season 2007/08 but after a successful season, he joined Dynamo Kiev in Ukraine. However his Ukrainian experience was rather disappointing as he only played a few matches with the club’s second and third teams apart from a short loan spell with PFC Olexandria. He moved back to Malta in summer 2013 to join Birkirkara but had a rather disappointing spell and at the end of the season, he joined Qormi. However on the final day of the January transfer window, he moved to Naxxar Lions. He moved back to Birkirkara in summer 2015.

On the other hand, Gary Muir started his career with Partick Thistle and Greenock Morton at youth level. He played for Stirling, Clyde and Airdrie United in Scotland, Lisburn Distillery and Ballymena United in Northern Ireland and Antigua GFC in Guatemala before joining Vittoriosa Stars in January 2012. The following summer, he moved to Floriana but after two years with the Greens, Muir joined Sliema in summer 2015.
