​Mqabba came back from two goals down to beat leaders Naxxar Lions 4-2 despite having a player sent off in a clash from the BOV First Division at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

Mqabba had a player sent off on the 35th minute and Yuri de Jesus Messias converted a penalty to put Naxxar ahead on the 37th. Six minutes later, Joel Ellul doubled the score. Nine minutes in the second half, Luca Casha pulled one back and five minutes later, Arilson Mello da Silva converted a penalty to level matters. Another penalty by Arilson Mello da Silva on the 63rd put Mqabba ahead and another strike by the Brazilian sealed the issue two minutes in added time.

Naxxar lead the way with 35 points, followed by Qormi on 30, Vittoriosa, Senglea and Mqabba 29, Lija 26, Pietà 25, Sirens 23, Melita and Marsa 19, Zebbug 15, Fgura and Rabat 14 and Gharghur 9.
