An early goal and another in the dying minutes gave Birkirkara a fourth win in the last five matches as they defeated Pembroke Athleta 2-0 at the Hibernians Stadium on Tuesday.
For Pembroke, this was their seventh consecutive defeat which leaves them anchored at the bottom of the table. Throughout the whole ninety minutes, they only seemed concerned to limit the damage, adopting an ultra-defensive approach.

The Stripes took the lead on the 8th minute when off a cross by Dimitrov from the left, Miguel Angel Alba headed the ball home.
