Ten Premier League players suspended

Ten Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Louis Rene Zome of Gzira was banned for three matches, Ryan Fenech of Balzan for two while Bruno Giglio de Oliveira (Balzan), Igor Misan and Sergio Raphael dos Anjos (Hamrun), Iraklis Roppas (Pembroke), Peter Xuereb (Sliema), Michael Johnson (St. Andrews), Julian Galea and Georgios Alexander Nilsson Likourentzos (Tarxien) were all suspended for one match.

The season is therefore over for Zome who misses Gzira’s last three matches against Floriana, Birkirkara and St. Andrews. Also ruled out of Floriana vs Gzira is Ryan Camenzuli. Ryan Fenech is ruled out of the games against Tarxien and Hamrun. Also ruled out of Tarxien vs Balzan are Balzan’s Bruno Oliveira and Tarxien’s Julian Galea and Alex Nilsson.

Michael Johnson will miss the game against Valletta, Raphael, Misan and Roppas the clash between Hamrun and Pembroke while Peter Xuereb is ruled out of Sliema vs Mosta.

Floriana assistant coach Salvatore Caleca was banned for two matches.
