Malta to play friendly match against Ukraine

Malta will be playing a friendly match against Ukraine on June 6 in Austria, four days before Malta faces Slovenia at the Sportni Park Stozice in Ljubliana on June 10.

This will be the first time Malta will be facing Ukraine. Ukraine are currently ranked 37th in the FIFA World Ranking. They are currently third in Group I in the European Qualifiers after collecting eight points from five matches, two behind Iceland and five behind Croatia.

Malta, on the other hand, lies at the bottom of Group F without any points after five matches after suffering defeats to Scotland at home, England and Lithuania away from home and Slovenia and Slovakia at home.
