Three new signings for Tarxien

After appointing Jose Borg as their new coach and extending the contract of goalkeeper Andrea Cassar for another two years, Tarxien Rainbows strengthened their squad with the signing of three players – Brazilian midfielder Ricardo Silva Faria, Romanian central midfielder Eduard Calin and veteran striker Ryan Darmanin.

Twenty-five year old Ricardinho started his career at Flamengo but then moved to Europe where he played for FK Nevezis in Lithuania, Gornik Leczna in Poland, Mosta and Msida St. Joseph in Malta, GS Kallithea in Greece, Busaiteen Club in Bahrain and Kufer Soom in Jordan.

Twenty-year old Calin moved to Spain at an early age and played for the youths of AD Alcorcón before moving to DAV Santa Ana in Spain.

A product of Floriana, thirty-one year old Darmanin already had a spell on loan with Tarxien in season 2006/07. He also played for Marsaxlokk, Balzan, Birkirkara and St. Andrews.
