Balzan sign co-operation agreement with Red Star Belgrade

Balzan FC signed a three-year co-operation agreement with FK Crvena Zvezda – Red Star Belgrade. The deal was signed last week between Red Star President Svetozar Mijailovic and Balzan President Anton Tagliaferro during Red Star’s visit to Malta for their UEFA Europa League fixture against Floriana.

As part of the deal, Crvena Zvezda will have first right of refusal over any Balzan F.C. players, promise Balzan Academy players being sent on trial with Red Star’s youth teams and Balzan Academy coaches being sent to Red Star Academy. Red Star will be sending promising young players to Balzan to play in Malta while Red Star Academy coaches will visit the Balzan Academy on a regular basis to offer advice on improving the level of training.

Anton Tagliaferro said “We are extremely pleased to have agreed such a deal with such a large and prestigious club. We are looking forward to working closely with Red Star in the years ahead and are currently in the process of planning our first activities under this agreement.”
