Hibernians target good performance as they face FC Salzburg

Hibernians will be aiming for a good performance in Salzburg as they take on FC Red Bull Salzburg in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round at the Stadion Salzburg on Wednesday, kick-off at 20:30.

A 3-0 win for Salzburg in the first leg hardly leaves any doubts which side will be facing HNK Rijeka of Croatia in the third qualifying round of the competition after the latter eliminated The New Saints of Wales with a 7-1 aggregate score.

Despite losing 0-3, Hibs had their fair share of scoring opportunities through Jorginho and Jurgen Degabriele and in Salzburg, coach Mark Miller will be aiming for a better result than the one obtained last week. However the Hibs mentor is not expected to make any changes to the team after welcoming back Andrei Agius and starting with Marco Sahanek on the bench.

FC Salzburg, who won five out of the last six championsips and cups in Austria, aim at reaching the group stage of the UEFA Champions League for the first time since 1994/95 after being eliminated in the play-off stage twice in the last three years and proceeding to the group stage of the UEFA Europa League where they were then eliminated.
