Another three new signings for Gzira

Gzira United continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Christian Sammut from Hibernians and two foreigners – Samuel Timmy Ogundare and Samba Tounkara.

Sammut was a member of the youth team of Hibernians and is yet to make his Premier League debut. Twenty-seven year old Senegalese striker Samba Diarra Tounkara spent most of his career in Spain, playing for CD Sarinena, UD Barbastro, Deportivo Aragon, CD Teruel and UB Conquense before moving to Al-Nasr Salalah in Oman. On the other hand, Under-23 Nigerian international Samuel Timmy Ogundare was on the books of Manchester United and Blackburn at academy level.

The Maroons had earlier secured the services of Nikolai Muscat from San Gwann, Luca Brincat from Sliema Wanderers, Zack Scerri from Hibernians, goalkeeper Tony Curmi from Tarxien, Nigerian striker Emmanuel Ndubuisi Okoye Senegalese striker Amadou Samb and Scottish midfielder Gary Muir.
