Four new foreigners for Naxxar Lions

Newly-promoted Naxxar Lions have so far signed four new foreign players in their bid to strengthen the squad ahead of the forthcoming Premier League campaign.

The new signings are Italian striker Francesco Serafino, Senegalese defender Ameth Lo, Moroccan left winger Hamza Kerroumi and Japanese midfielder Go Nagaoka.

After playing at youth level with SS Fuscaldo, Reggina, Roma, Argentinos Juniors and River Plate, nineteen-year old Serafino played for the Boca Juniors Under-20 and then for Huracan FC in Uruguay. Twenty-year old Ameth Lo played at youth level with AC Milan before moving to Reggina. Earlier this month, he signed for Lazio but then opted to join Naxxar on a free release.

Twenty-two year old Hamza Kerroumi joined Naxxar Lions from Casale. On the other hand, thirty-three year old Go Nagaoka played for Londrina and Avai in Brazil, Carpenedolo in Italy, North York Astros in Canada, Przeboj Wolbrom in Poland, Blazma in Latvia. He moved to Malta in the January 2014 to join Tarxien Rainbows and after another spell in Latvia, he moved back to Malta where he played for Qormi and Pembroke Athleta.
