Another two new foreigners for Birkirkara

Birkirkara FC continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of another two new foreign players – Argentine midfielder Wálter Aníbal Acevedo and Cameroonian striker Ernest Webnje N’For.

Thirty-one year old Acevedo started his career with San Lorenzo in Argentina and later played for Independiente, River Plate and Banfield. Following a spell with Real Zaragoza, he moved back to Argentina where he played for CA Tigre, Defensa and All Boys.

On the other hand, thirty-one year old N’For started his career in Cameroon before moving to Belgium at the age of 21. He played for KAA Gent, SK Deinze, KV Kortrijk and Zulte Waregem before moving to Azerbaijan to join Neftchi Baku. Following a spell with Al Wahda in Saudi Arabia, he joined Foolad in Iran.

Birkirkara, now under the guidance of coach Peter Pullicino, had earlier secured the services of Jake Grech, Brandon Muscat, Llywelyn Cremona, Luke Montebello, David Cassar and Brazilians Lucas Maia, Bruno Andrade and Renato Bezerra Camilo, Czech defender Martin Klein and Swedish striker Alex Nilsson.
