Siggiewi strengthen squad ahead of forthcoming Second Division campaign

Siggiewi FC strengthened their squad with a number of new players ahead of the BOV Second Division campaign which kicks-off next weekend.

The biggest signing was that of Bulgarian prolific scorer Trayo Grozev who played in Malta for Gharghur and St. Andrews and for Kercem Ajax in Gozo.

Central defender Matthew Borg, central midfielder Roderick Spiteri and attacking midfielder Ayrton Buhagiar are another three experienced players to join the squad.

Other new signings are those of goalkeeper Ryan Caruana, Gillmore Azzopardi who plays on both flanks, defender Luke Zahra, attacking midfielder Mauro Busuttil, winger Jake Vella, midfielder Ian Montanaro and striker Shamison Farrugia. With the exception of Busuttil, the other six players are all in their early twenties.
