A goal eight minutes in the second half by Obinna Obiefule enabled Vittoriosa Stars to register their first win as they defeated Mqabba 1-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.

In another match, Pembroke Athleta were held in a 2-2 draw by Mqabba.

A penalty by Njongo Priso put Pembroke ahead on the 26th minute and the same player doubled the score two minutes later. Paul Chimezie pulled one back on the 31st and one minute from half-time, the same player levelled matters.

Qormi lead the way with 6 points, followed by Vittoriosa on 4, Pietà, Sirens and Zebbug 3, Zebbug, Qrendi, Zejtun, San Gwann, Zabbar and Mqabba 1, Marsa, Melita and Rabat 0 and Pembroke Athleta -8 (after starting with a ten-point deduction).
