Three Premier League players suspended

Three Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Elkin Orlando Serrano Valero (Balzan), Clyde Borg (Floriana) and Tyrone Farrugia (Mosta) are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.

Serrano is ruled out of the derby against Lija Athletic, Borg misses the game against leaders Gzira while Farrugia will be unavailable for the game against Hamrun.

Senglea Athletic kit manager George Attard and Tarxien Rainbows official Edward Calleja were suspended for two matches.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Lawrence Uchechi Chiedozie of Pietà was suspended for three matches while Benjamin Essel (Marsa), Kurt Borg (St. Patrick) and Clayton Giordimaina (Zejtun) were banned for one match. Sirens official David Muscat was banned for one match.

In Division 3, Ta’ Xbiex coach Mario Mifsud was suspended for two matches while Giuseppe Versace (Dingli) and Christian Bordieri (Marsaskala) were handed a one-match ban.
