Hamrun, Mosta aim at returning to winning ways

Hamrun Spartans and Mosta will be all out to return to winning ways on Saturday as they cross swords in one of the three matches in programme at the Victor Tedesco Stadium and the Centenary Stadium.

Senglea Athletic and Sliema Wanderers, on the other hand, start as favourites to claim the three points as they take on St. Andrews and Tarxien Rainbows respectively.

St. Andrews vs Senglea Athletic, kick-off 15:00 at Centenary Stadium
After disappointing in a 1-1 draw with Tarxien, Senglea will be aiming for a third win in four matches as they face a St. Andrews side who lost four of the five matches played and are coming from a 2-3 defeat to leaders Gzira.

Senglea are currently sixth on eight points and St. Andrews, joint-third from bottom, on three.

Tarxien Rainbows vs Sliema Wanderers, kick-off 17:15 at Centenary Stadium
After earning their first point in a draw with Senglea, Tarxien will be aiming for another positive result in the clash with Sliema. However the Blues eye another win to climb further up the table following a 2-0 win over Lija last week.

The Wanderers share sixth place with Senglea on 8 points while Tarxien are joint-last on one point.

Hamrun Spartans vs Mosta, kick-off 16:00 at Victor Tedesco Stadium
Hamrun will be hoping to return to winning ways after losing narrowly to Floriana last week. Likewise Mosta hope to bounce back from last week’s 0-3 defeat to Hibernians to leapfrog the Spartans.

Tyrone Farrugia is ruled out through suspension for Mosta while Hamrun’s Pedro Henrique serves the second of his four-match ban.

The Spartans are currently joint-eighth on the 7 point mark, followed by Mosta on six.
