A goal by Kenneth Aquilina three minutes in added time enabled Mgarr United to register their first win as they beat Gudja United 1-0 in one of the two BOV Second Division matches in programme at the Luxol Stadium on Saturday.

In another match, Fgura United defeated Gharghur 4-0 in a clash between two teams who were relegated from Division 1 last season. Cleavon Frendo opened the score two minutes from the end of the first half. Abeeb Abiodun Williams doubled the score on the hour and penalties by Gilbert Martin on the 75th and Ryan Sell six minutes from time sealed the issue for Fgura.

Fgura lead the way with 8 points, followed by Swieqi on 7, Santa Lucia 6, Birzebbuga and Siggiewi on 5, Kalkara and Mgarr 4, St. George’s, Luqa 3, Gharghur, Gudja and Marsaxlokk 2, Attard 1.
