Royter Degiorgio was the hero for Xghajra Tornados as they registered an impressive 5-1 win over Msida St. Joseph in one of four BOV Third Division matches in programme on Saturday.

At the Charles Abela Stadium, Royter Degiorgio opened the score on the 7th minute and scored again on the 27th and 43rd. Dylan Busuttil made it 4-0 on the hour and Gabriel Bonavia scored a fifth on the 77th minute. Andrew Formosa scored a consolation goal for Msida eight minutes from time.

Dingli Swallows and Marsaskala earned their first point as they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Charles Abela Stadium. Dylan Camenzuli put Dingli ahead on the 68th minute and Marvic Grech equalised four minutes from time.

At the Sirens Stadium, goals by Eddie Wileman on the 35th, Jonathan Micallef on the 45th, Yau-Mun Law on the 50th gave Sta. Venera Lightnings a comfortable 3-0 win over Mtarfa.

In another match at the Sirens Stadium, Zurrieq defeated Ghaxaq 2-0 thanks to a brace by Leontiev Konda – a goal on the 11th minute and a penalty on the 25th.

Sta. Venera lead the way with maximum points from three matches, followed by Zurrieq on 7, Mellieha and Msida 6, Kirkop and Xghajra 4, Mdina and Mtarfa 3, Ghaxaq, Dingli and Marsaskala 1, Ta’ Xbiex 0.
