Floriana maintained their unbeaten run in the BOV Premier League following a 1-1 draw with Balzan. A draw which enables the Greens to stay one point ahead of Balzan.

This was the fourth draw for Floriana who were coming from another 1-1 draw with leaders Gzira in their previous outing.

Following a goalless first half, Balzan managed to break the deadlock nine minutes in the second half thanks to Bojan Kaljevic who concluded a solo effort by beating goalkeeper Ini Etim Akpan with an angled shot from the right.

However Floriana equalised on the 72nd minute when off a Steve Pisani corner, Enzo Ruiz’s header was partially saved by Janjusevic with Maurizio Vella placing the ball at the back of the net off the rebound.
