Hibernians registered a most comfortable 14-0 win over Fgura United at the Fgura Ground on Tuesday to register a third win in the BOV Women’s League.

Dorianne Theuma scored twice in a minute between the 10th and 11th and after Francesca Chircop made it 3-0, Theuma scored another three in five minutes betwee the 20th and 25th. An own goal on the half-hour increased the lead further and by half-time, Hibs added another three goals thanks to Francesca Chircop on the 34th, an Emma Xuereb penalty on the 38th and Mandy Debono two minutes from the end of the first half. On the hour, Nicole Borg made it 11-0 with Jade Flask adding another on the 69th, Emma Xuereb scoring on the 75th and Flask scoring the fourteenth two minutes later.

Champions Birkirkara defeated Mgarr United 4-1 at the Charles Abela Stadium. Stephania Farrugia gave Birkirkara the lead on the 10th minute and although Roxanne Micallef equalised on the 23rd, a brace by Alishia Sultana on the 59th and 75th restored the lead for the Stripes with Jelena Sakic adding another one minute later.

An own goal just before half-time enabled Raiders (Luxol) to beat neighbours Swieqi United 1-0 at the Mgarr Ground while at the Zebbug Ground, Kirkop United and Tarxien Rainbows shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, goals by Demin Magrin on the 24th for Kirkop and Jade Schembri on the hour for Tarxien.

Meanwhile in the Women’s Under-19 League, Raiders (Luxol) and Mgarr United shared the spoils in an entertaining 4-4 draw at the Kirkop Ground. Michela Bonello Ghio put Raiders ahead but Rachela Pace equalised for Mgarr, Christina Hili made it 2-1 with Pace levelling matters once again. Raiders scored twice through Sara Bonello Ghio and Michela Bonello Ghio but Mgarrhit back with goals by Rachela Pace and Rebecca Laferla to restore equilibrium.

In another match, Kirkop United defeated Sirens 13-0. Shakira Bugeja scored five, Demi Magrin three, Katryn Ellul two while Maria Michela Cassar, Julia Cassar and Shakira Mangion scored a goal each
