Kirkop United goalkeeper Sharon Costantino is the BOV Female Player of the Month for October 2017.

The veteran goalkeeper is proving that age is just a number. At 42 years of age, Costantino produced a series of fine saves keeping a clean sheet in Kirkop’s 3-0 victory over Swieqi United and 4-0 over Mosta.

Costantino, who made her debut in the 1998/99 season, has played almost 300 games in local competitions and was won many caps with Malta’s national team. Debuting for Planets in 1998, Sharon has played for 8 different clubs throughout her career, the most clubs represented by the same player ever in Malta.
