Another comfortable win for women’s national team

The women’s national team defeated the United Arab Emirates 4-0 in a second friendly match at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.

Shona Zammit took just two minutes to put Malta ahead by concluding a solo effort with a shot which beat the UAE goalkeeper. Rachel Cuschieri doubled the score on the 27th with a diagonal shot from inside the area. Six minutes later, Zammit received the ball off a short clearance and controlled the ball before hitting past Almazrooei.

Six minutes in the second half, Malta scored the fourth goal when a Rachel Cuschieri corner hit the crossbar and off the rebound, Gabriella Zahra headed home.
