Leaders Mellieha rescued a point thanks to a goal four minutes in added time in a 1-1 draw with Kirkop United at the Sirens Stadium in one of the four BOV Third Division matches in programme on Saturday.

Karl Caruana put Kirkop ahead on the 21st but Bryan Bautista equalised four minutes in added time.

Msida St. Joseph moved fourth thanks to a narrow win over neighbours Ta’ Xbiex in another match at the Sirens Stadium, courtesy of Lydin Camilleri four minutes in the second half.

At the Charles Abela Stadium, Mtarfa and Dingli Swallows shared the spoils in a goalless draw while Mdina Knights notched a late equaliser in a draw with Ghaxaq. Florin Anton put Ghaxaq ahead on the 17th minute but Dylan Mintoff equalised on the 90th minute.

Mellieha lead the way with 26 points followed by Sta. Venera on 23, Xghajra 21, Msida 19, Kirkop 18, Mdina 16, Zurrieq 14, Dingli 13, Ghaxaq 12, Mtarfa and Marsaskala 7 and Ta’ Xbiex 4.
