Qormi suffered a second defeat in the BOV First Division as they lost 2-3 to Qrendi at the Centenary Stadium on Wednesday.

The match was originally scheduled for December 19 but was abandoned on the 15th minute due to a broken goal post with the score 1-1 after Jose Lucas Caetano da Silva put Qormi ahead on the 12th minute and Dhonathan Santos da Hora equalised three minutes later.

The game therefore resumed on the 15th mintue with Aaron Agius putting Qrendi ahead on the 23rd minute with Jose Lucas Caetano da Silva equalising on the half-hour. Petar Mrvic notched the winner four minutes in the second half.

Qormi lead the way with 29 points, followed by Mqabba on 28, Pietà 27, Vittoriosa and Zebbug 21, Qrendi 19, Sirens and Zejtun 17, San Gwann 15, Melita 11, Pembroke, Zabbar and Marsa 10 and Rabat 4.
