Despite being unable to field their best formation, Birkirkara will be all out to maintain their winning streak as they take on Mosta in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium on Sunday.

The Stripes won their last four matches against St. Andrews, Hamrun, Floriana and Gzira but Paul Zammit has to make a number of changes to their line-up.

In fact, Birkirkara could not count on the suspended Ryan Scicluna who serves a one-match ban while Ryan Camenzuli, Llywelyn Cremona and Luke Montebello all face long-term bans following the decision by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body for match-fixing offences ahead of the UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Montenegro and the Czech Republic in March 2016.

However Cain Attard and Nikola Vukanac should be back for the Stripes after serving a one-match ban. On the other hand, Thomas Veronese returns for Mosta.

The Blues are joint-ninth with Senglea and are coming from a comfortable 5-1 win over Lija.

Birkirkara defeated Mosta 2-0 in the first round.

Meanwhile in the second match, Hibernians hope to end their disappointing run as they take on a Floriana side eager to keep the pace with the top three. Four point currently separate the two teams with Floriana lying in fourth place on 29 points with Hibs sharing fifth place with Sliema, Hamrun and Birkirkara.

In their last outing, Hibs were held in a goalless draw by Hamrun while Floriana defeated Tarxien 2-0.

Hibernians welcome back Clayton Failla and Johann Bezzina while Georgian midfielder Giorgi Gorozia could make his debut for the club. Floriana will be without the suspened Dylan Grima and the injured Ignacio Varela.

In the first round, Hibernians and Floriana shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
