Winning start for women’s Under 16 national team in UEFA tournament

The Malta women’s Under-16 national team defeated Andorra 2-0 in the opening game from the UEFA Youth Under-16 Development Mini-Tournament at the Centenary Stadium on Monday.

Birkirkara striker Veronique Mifsud scored twice in the first half – on the 23rd and 35th to hand Malta the first three points.

Malta takes on Gibraltar on Wednesday, kick-off at 11:00. Gibraltar lost their first game to Liechtenstein 2-4.
