Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were banned by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following matches from match-day 19.

Clyde Borg (Floriana) was suspended for five matches while Elkin Serrano Valero (Balzan), Tiago Souza da Silveira and Daniel Zerafa (Hamrun), Ryan Grech (Naxxar), Stefano Bianciardi (Sliema) were banned for one match.

Clyde Borg misses the games against Gzira, Mosta, Senglea, Naxxar and Sliema and will be back for the final two league matches. Serrano skips the derby against Lija, Tiago Indigo and Zerafa the clash with Mosta. Grech is ruled out of the game against Hibernians while Bianciardi will miss the game against Tarxien.

Hamrun Spartans official Sean Anthony Vassallo was banned for ten matches, Floriana team manager Anthony Grech Sant was suspended for three months while Hamrun coach Jacques Scerri was handed a one-match ban.

In Division 1, Adrian Caruana (Marsa), Michael Borg and Brandon Muscat (Mqabba), Caio Henrique Alves de Souza (Pembroke), Tensior Gusman (Qormi), Ethan Jay Goodman (Sirens), Andre Farrugia (Vittoriosa), Nestor Luis Silva Canas, Gaetano Adamo and Clayton Camilleri (Zabbar) and Andrea Curmi (Zebbug) were suspended for one match. Mqabba official Mario Borg was suspended for two matches.

Didier Sohna (Birzebbuga), David Azzopardi (Gudja), Cleaven Frendo (Marsaxlokk), Roderick Spiteri (Siggiewi), Anthony Bonello (St. George’s) were handed a one-match ban in Division 2 while Elton Dimech (Ghaxaq), Melchior Grech (Kirkop) and Alexander Cauchi (Zurrieq) were banned for one match in Division 3.
