Kyrian Nwoko scores twice in Under-21 side’s defeat to Turkey

Malta suffered the sixth defeat in as many matches in Group 6 of the UEFA Under-21 Championship at the Oba Stadyumu in Alanya after losing 4-2 to Turkey.

The hosts took the lead thanks to Oğulcan Çağlayan on the 12th minute and five minutes later, Dorukhan Toköz doubled the score. Turkey kept pushing for more and Deniz Hümmet made it 3-0 on the 20th minute. Kyrian Nwoko pulled one back for Malta on the 28th minute and although Orkan Çınar scored a fourth goal for Turkey on the 35th minute, four minutes in the second half, Malta reduced the gap once again once again thanks to Kyrian Nwoko.
