BOV Premier League resumes this weekend

After a two-week break due to the international break and the national team’s friendly matches against Luxembourg and Finland, the BOV Premier League resumes this weekend with another round of matches.

On Friday, Senglea Athletic take on Mosta in a clash between the two teams lying in ninth place at the Centenary Stadium. Lying on the 23-point mark, with three rounds of matches to go, they are currently five points ahead of Tarxien, six ahead of St. Andrews and seven ahead of Naxxar. Therefore a win for either side would put them just one point away from securing their Premier League status.

Senglea won just one out of the last seven matches and are coming from a 1-4 defeat to Gzira in their last outing. Mosta, on the other hand, are coming from four consecutive defeats as they lost to Hamrun, Floriana, Gzira and Balzan, conceding fourteen goals in the process.

In the first round, Mosta defeated Senglea 2-1.
