Dingli Swallows and Zurrieq registered wins in the two matches from the lower part of the table in the BOV Third Division at the Charles Abela Stadium on Sunday.

Dingli defeated Ta’ Xbiex 3-0 thanks to goals by Christian Schembri on the 34th, Andrew Scerri on the 50th and Robert Ciantar on the 90th.

On the other hand, Zurrieq managed to beat Mtarfa 2-0. Ibrahim Tarek put Zurrieq ahead on the half-hour and Josef Felice doubled the score deep into added time.

Sta. Venera lead the way with 50 points, followed by Mellieha on 47, Kirkop 42, Xghajra 41, Msida 35, Mdina 31, Ghaxaq 28, Zurrieq and Dingli 27, Mtarfa 14, Ta’ Xbiex and Marsaskala 8.
