Floriana signed Malta international defender Clayton Failla from Hibernians. A product of St. Patrick, Failla joined Hibernians in 2005 but after winning the Premier League title and the Footballer of the Year award in season 2008/09, he moved to Sliema Wanderers. Failla spent two years with the Blues before returning with the Paolites in 2011.
