Youth FA Annual Presentation 2017/18

The Youth Football Association hosted its Annual Presentation Night at the Palace Hotel in Sliema, where the winners of the various awards were presented with trophies and mementoes for their achievements during the 2017/18 season.

The Youth FA President started his speech by remembering the late Godfrey Pecorella, who had just passed away and was awarded the YFA merit award on the same occasion two years ago.  Fr. Hilary concluded his speech by reveling that as from this season there will be an additional award, a fair play trophy for the U13s, gently sponsored by the Viola Club Malta.

The most prominent awards for the night were those presented to the Most Promising Players – Jean Paul Attard (Under-17 – San Gwann) & Kurt Briffa (Under-15 – Pieta), Section A Winners – San Gwann for both the Under-17 and Under-15, Knock-Out winners – St. Andrews (Under-17) & San Gwann (U15) the Play Fair Award – Siggiewi (Under-15) and Mtarfa (Under-17) and the YFA Merit Award to Mr. Stephen Gatt for his dedication to youth football.
