Three Birkirkara players join Senglea Athletic on loan

Senglea Athletic secured the services of Philip Schranz, Brandon Muscat and Zach Cassar on loan from Birkirkara.

Twenty-two year old goalkeeper Philip Schranz is a product of Melita. He joined Birkirkara but last season was on loan with Tarxien Rainbows.

A product of Hibernians, 23-year old Brandon Muscat had spells on loan with St. George’s, Tarxien Rainbows, Pembroke Athleta and Mqabba before joining Birkirkara. Mid-way through last season, he was loaned once again to Mqabba.

On the other hand, 19-year old Zach Cassar is a product of Birkirkara, making his Premier League debut last season.

Meanwhile Senglea also managed to sign Kieran Xuereb on loan from Hibernians. The 20-year old midfielder is yet to make his Premier League debut.

Senglea, now led by Italian coach Bruno Russo, had earlier signed Leighton Grech and Dylan Micallef. Goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia renewed his contract with the club.
