Winning start for Valletta Futsal in UEFA Futsal Champions League

Champions Valletta started their commitments in Group E of the UEFA Futsal Champions League on a positive note as they defeated Cosmos of Estonia 4-2 in the first match at the Jane Sandanski Arena in Skopje on Wednesday.

Murtaz Kakabadze opened the scoring on the 3rd minute and Camilo Gomez doubled the score on the 12th. Cosmos pulled one back on the 18th thanks to Stepan Tsenoussov, leaving the Citizens 2-1 ahead at half-time.

On the restart, Erik Grigorjev levelled matters but Valletta regained the lead on the 33rd minute with a goal by Yerai and Ninoslav Aleksic sealed the issue with another goal one minute from time.

On Thursday, Valletta take on Futsamba Naas of Ireland while on Saturday, they face hosts Veles of Macedonia. Veles defeated Futsamba Naas 10-3 in another match on Wednesday.
