Belgium prove too strong for Under-21 side

With two goals in each half, Belgium defeated Malta 4-0 in a match from Group 6 of the UEFA Under-21 Championship at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

This was the eighth defeat in as many matches for Malta and the second consecutive 0-4 defeat following last June’s defeat to Sweden who share the top spot in the group with Belgium.

Nany Dimata put Belgium ahead on the 11th minute and seven minutes later, Siebe Schrijvers doubled the score. Dodi Lukebakio made it 3-0 on the 59th and ten minutes later, Aaron Leya Iseka added another.

Next month, Malta will play the final two qualifies against Hungary and Cyprus and in view of these matches, the team will face Georgia in a friendly match on Tuesday.
