Women’s Under-19 side face Romania in three friendly matches

The Malta women’s Under-19 side will play three times against their Romanian counterparts in a span of six days with the first friendly scheduled for Tuesday at 13.00, the second on Thursday at 17.00 and the third and final game on Saturday at 11.30. The matches will be staged at the MFA Training Grounds, Ta’ Qali.

These warm-up games are part of the preparations of the Malta women’s U-19 selection for the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship qualifying campaign. The Maltese girls face a tall order in Group 1 as they will be up against hosts Croatia, one-time winners England and Slovakia between October 1 and October 7.

Malta women’s Under-19 coach Frank Schembri has named a provisional squad of 23 players for their friendly matches, namely:
