Gzira United target top spot in clash with Hibernians

Gzira United will be all out to claim the three points on Sunday as they take on Hibernians, kick-off at 18:00, in one of the two matches in programme at the National Stadium.

The Maroons registered two wins, dropping their only points in a draw with Hamrun. They are currently second on seven points, two behind Balzan, and are coming from a 2-0 win over neighbours Sliema last week.

The Paolites, on the other hand, suffered their first defeat in their last outing as they lost 0-2 to Floriana. They had won their first two matches, defeating Pietà Hotspurs and Valletta.

Meanwhile in the second match, Floriana take on Birkirkara, kick-off at 20:00.

The Greens collected their first points last week in a 2-0 win over Hibernians and now target another positive result after they had lost their first two matches. Birkirkara, on the other hand, suffered their first defeat in their last outing, losing 0-3 to Valletta, and are therefore eager to return to winning ways.
