Birzebbuga St. Peter’s extended their positive run with a third win in four matches as they beat Rabat Ajax 3-1 in one of the two BOV Second Division matches at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

Felipe de Almeida Pedrosa put the Saints ahead on the 17th minute, Keith Muscat doubled the score on the 45th and although Zachary Tanti pulled one back for Rabat four minutes in the second half, Dylan Pirotta sealed the issue with a third goal two minutes from time.

In another match, Kalkara defeated Luqa St. Andrew’s 2-1.

Matthew Mifsud scored on the 35th and 45th to put Kalkara two goals ahead with Leontiev Konda reducing the gap three minutes from time.

Birzebbuga lead the way with 10 points, followed by Fgura on 7, Rabat and Marsaxlokk 6, St. George’s, Mgarr, Mellieha, Melita and Kalkara 4, Zabbar and Luqa 3, Siggiewi 1 and Sta. Venera 0.
