Luxol, Valletta prove too strong for Swieqi U21 and Pietà

Luxol and Valletta continued to show off their supremacy in the Malta FA Futsal League as both registered massive wins.

Luxol St. Andrews defeated Swieqi United U21 17-0. Celino Alves and Carl Azzopardi notched hat-tricks, George Frendo, Maicon Silva and Zvezdan Vukovic two each with Mark Zammit, Aidan Micallef, Andy Mangion, Emil Andrei Raducu and Nicola Delre scoring the other goals.

Valletta FC registered their second consecutive win, beating Pietà Hotspurs Futsal 15-0. The Lillywhites found the net through hat-tricks by Jovica Milijic and Gia Nikvasvili, braces for Melvin Borg, Camilo Andres Gomez Vanegas and Mohamed Elamari together with a goal apiece for Dylan Musu, Shawn Vella and Denis Di Maio.

In the meantime, Swieqi United also made them three out of three when they came from behind to beat Tarxien Rainbows Futsal 5-3. Birkirkara FC Futsal claimed their first three points in a 7-4 win against the University of Malta Students Futsal Team while UM Futsal Academy registered their first win as they beat Luxol U19 3-2.

Next week the Futsal League will take a break as on Monday the Futsal National Team starts training for two friendly matches scheduled on Friday and Saturday against Northern Ireland. Both matches will be played at the National Sport School Pavilion, kick-off at 18:30.
