Five Premier League players suspended

Five Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Nenad Sljivic (Balzan), Enzo Ruiz (Floriana), Antonio Monticelli (Hamrun), Augusto Rene Caseres and Brandon Muscat (Senglea) are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.

Senglea will be without Caseres and Muscat for the clash with Tarxien. Floriana will be lacking Ruiz for the big match against Valletta, Sljivic skips the game against Balzana while Monticelli is ruled out of Qormi-Hamrun.

Sliema Wanderers coach John Buttigieg was also banned for one match.

Meanwhile in the Malta FA Trophy, Jack Vella (Mellieha), Shaun Bugeja (Swieqi) and Jason Pace (Victoria Hotspurs) were also banned for one match.
