Sliema Wanderers return to victory

Sliema Wanderers returned to winning ways as they defeated bottom-placed Qormi 2-0 at the Hibernians Stadium on Saturday. A win which puts the 19-point mark, five point behind leaders Gzira.

The Wanderers took the lead on the 31st minute when off a cross by Younes Marzouk from the right, Jefferson de Assis’ effort was blocked by Jamie Azzopardi and Mattias Muchardi placed the ball at the back of the net.
