Third win in a row for Hamrun Spartans

Hamrun Spartans registered a third win in a row as a goal mid-way through the second half handed them a narrow win over Senglea Athletic at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday. 

A win which put the Spartans on the 18-point mark, six behind leaders Gzira United. On the other hand, Senglea suffer a fourth defeat in five matches to remain at the bottom of the table with four points.

The Spartans had four changes from the team which defeated Qormi as Antonio Monticelli, Jeremy Busuttil, Marco Criaco and Kevin Tulimieri replaced Karl Micallef, Sebastian Nayar, Alain Donneil Moukanza and Njongo Priso.

Senglea, also had four changes as Matthew Bartolo, Romani Tcanturia, Marko Ivanovic and the suspended Braian Volpini made way for Brandon Muscat, Augusto Rene Caseres, Imanol Gonzalez and Karl Cutajar.

Hamrun scored the all-important goal on the 68th minute when off a Caetano Calil corner from the left, Kevin Tulimieri headed the ball home past Matthew Farrugia.
