Zurrieq keep marching on in the BOV Third Division as they defeated Marsaskala 2-0 at the Sirens Stadium on Sunday. This was the seventh win in as many matches for Zurrieq.

Nicholas Abdilla put them ahead on the 2nd minute and Nathan Zammit doubled the score on the 79th.

At the Luxol Stadium, Xghajra Tornados defeated Mdina Knights 1-0 courtesy of a Royter Degiorgio goal on the 50th while Dingli Swallows beat Kirkop United 1-0 thanks to a goal by Andrew Scerri six minutes in the second half.

In another match at the Sirens Stadium, Attard beat Ta’ Xbiex 1-0 thanks to an own goal after just ten minutes.

Zurrieq lead the way with 21 points, followed by Xghajra on 19, Dingli 18, Attard 16, Msida 14, Kirkop 11, Mdina 9, Ta’ Xbiex 5, Marsaskala, Gharghur and Ghaxaq 3 and Mtarfa 0.
