Must-win clashes for Gzira, Hibs

Gzira United and Hibernians will be all out to claim the three points on Sunday as they take on Mosta and Senglea Athletic respectively in the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium.

In the first match, kick-off at 14:00, Gzira will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten run with a win over Mosta. A win which would enable them to return on top. In their last league outing, the Maroons defeated Floriana 1-0 and went on to beat Rabat Ajax 4-0 in the FA Trophy.

Mosta, on the other hand, are currently third from bottom on seven points and are coming from six consecutive defeats although they defeated Senglea Athletic 3-2 after extra-time in the FA Trophy.

Haruna Garba is ruled out through suspension after his three-match ban was reduced to just one following an appeal. Juan Carlos Corbalan also serves a one-match ban.

Meanwhile in the second match, kick-off at 16:00, Hibernians seek an eighth consecutive win as they take on Senglea Athletic. The Paolites were in fine form in recent weeks and went on to beat Qormi 5-1 in the FA Trophy last week.

Senglea, on the other hand, lost six out of the last seven matches and were eliminated by Mosta from the FA Trophy. They share the bottom place with Qormi on four points.

Nemanja Radojevic of Hibernians and Imanol Gonzalez of Senglea are both suspended.
