Bizebbuga St. Peter’s failed to join the leaders in the BOV Second Division adter being held in a 2-2 draw by St. George’s at the Luxol Stadium on Saturday.

Rene Duca put Birzebbuga ahead just before half-time but six minutes in the second half, Nicholas Zammit equalised. Keith Muscat converted a penalty on the 71st to make it 2-1 for Birzebbuga but Anthony Ewurum levelled matters four minutes later.

In another match, a brace by Trevor Cilia on the 37th and 48th handed Luqa St. Andrew’s a 2-0 win over Zabbar St. Patrick.

Rabat and Mgarr lead the way with 26 points, followed by Birzebbuga on 24, Marsaxlokk 23, Fgua and St. George’s 22, Melita 20, Zabbar 10, Sta. Venera 9, Mellieha and Luqa 8, Siggiewi and Kalkara 7.
