Zurrieq returned to winning ways as they registered a most comfortable 5-0 win over Attard at the Sirens Stadium on Sunday in one of the matches from the BOV Third Division.

Nathan Zammit put Zurrieq ahead on the 8th minute and three minutes later, Dylan Darmanin doubled the score. Zammit made it 3-0 on the 70th with Ivan Bojovic adding another two goals on the 77th and 88th.

Kirkop United registered a 2-1 win over Gharghur at the Luxol Stadium. Ayrton Buhagiar put Kirkop ahead on the 22nd and although Domenico Marsala equalised on the 24th, Karl Caruana restored the lead for Kirkop.

Ta’ Xbiex came from behind to beat Mtarfa 2-1 at the Sirens Stadium. Christian Bugeja put Mtarfa ahead on the 64th but Jurgen Ebejer equalised on the 86th and Joel Felice doubled the score in added time.

A goal by Rio Micallef four minutes from the end of the first half gave Ghaxaq a narrow win over Mdina Knights at the Luxol Stadium.

Zurrieq lead the way with 28 points, followed by Xghajra on 26, Msida 21, Dingli 19, Kirkop and Attard 17, Mdina 13, Ghaxaq 12, Gharghur 9, Ta’ Xbiex 8, Marsaskala 3 and Mtarfa 0.
